What Happens If The Home Inspector Finds Something Wrong With Your Home
Hi ,
If you were selling a home and the inspector found a massive crack in the foundation, what do you think would happen?
Most buyers would run away and look for another home, but here are the four possible outcomes:
Walk Away – The buyers can say, “NO THANKS!” and move on to another home, sacrificing their inspection fee.
Waive – The buyers might accept the issue, thinking, “It’s not ideal, but I’ll deal with it anyway.”
Negotiate – If the buyers aren’t willing to accept the issue but don’t want to walk away yet, they can negotiate with the seller for a better price.
Fulfill – If the buyers are satisfied despite the issue, they’ll continue with the purchase and fulfill the inspection condition.
That’s it! Four things can happen if an inspector finds something wrong with your home.
